Trans-Resveratrol Supplement
High-purity trans-resveratrol extracted from Japanese Knotweed — one of the most concentrated natural sources available. The biologically active isomer, at 150mg per capsule, in a vegetarian HPMC shell. UK-manufactured to GMP standards. What trans-resveratrol is and why the isomer matters.
Resveratrol is a naturally occurring polyphenol found in red grapes, berries, and certain plants — most abundantly in Japanese Knotweed. It exists in two structural forms: cis and trans. Only the trans isomer is biologically active and the form studied in research. Many cheaper products use a mixed or unspecified form.
Ours is trans-resveratrol only, extracted from Polygonum cuspidatum at 150mg per capsule — the dose used most commonly across the research literature.
Trans-Resveratrol
Extracted from Polygonum cuspidatum (Japanese Knotweed). Trans isomer — the biologically active form. 150mg per capsule.
Vegetarian capsule
Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose — plant-derived, suitable for vegetarians and vegans. No gelatin.
Why resveratrol is taken and what the research shows.
Resveratrol does not carry EFSA-approved health claims in the way that some vitamins and minerals do. What it does have is a substantial and growing body of research — making it one of the most studied polyphenols in the longevity space.
Sirtuin pathway — the longevity connection
Resveratrol is studied extensively for its relationship with sirtuin proteins — a family of enzymes that depend on NAD⁺ and are associated with cellular regulation and ageing biology. This is why it pairs naturally with NMN in longevity research protocols.
A well-studied polyphenol with a long safety record
Resveratrol has been studied in humans at doses from 150mg to 1000mg daily. At standard supplemental doses, it is well tolerated in healthy adults with no significant adverse effects reported in short-to-medium term trials.
Fat-soluble — absorption depends on how you take it
Resveratrol's bioavailability improves when taken with food containing healthy fats. Taking it alongside a meal is a simple way to support consistent absorption.
Frequently paired with NMN
NMN supports NAD⁺ availability; resveratrol is studied in relation to the sirtuin proteins that use it. This is why the two appear together consistently in longevity-focused research — and why we offer them as a bundle.
Much of the most-cited resveratrol research has been conducted in cell and animal models. Human trials are ongoing and show promising signals, particularly in areas of metabolic and cellular biology. We don't overstate what is established. No medicinal claims are made for this product.
Not for everyone. Here's who it suits.
Good fit
- Adults with an interest in longevity-focused supplementation
- Those already taking or considering NMN who want to pair it with resveratrol
- Anyone who wants a research-aligned dose in a clean, vegetarian capsule
- Those who prioritise the trans isomer specifically
Not for you if
- You take anticoagulant or blood-thinning medication
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
- You are looking for a clinically prescribed treatment
- You are under 18
Take with food for best absorption.
Resveratrol is fat-soluble. Taking it with a meal containing some healthy fat — breakfast works well for most people — supports absorption. Consistency matters more than timing.
1 capsule (150mg) daily with food
Standard daily intake. Take with a meal containing some fat for optimal absorption.
Or 2 capsules (300mg) daily
Some people prefer a higher daily intake. Do not exceed 300mg per day. Take both with food — splitting across two meals is also fine.
Allow time to assess
Resveratrol is not a stimulant. It works through cumulative biological processes. Allow 4–8 weeks before evaluating your response.
