Pure NMN vs NMN Complex: which one should you choose?

By Mathew Stuckey · Updated · 2 min read

Pure NMN and NMN Complex both give you 500mg of NMN a day. Pure NMN is NMN on its own, one capsule a day, from 49p a day. NMN Complex adds 600mg TMG, 120mg trans-resveratrol, 120mg pterostilbene, 300mg quercetin and 150 micrograms of vitamin B12, in 3 capsules a day, for £1.17 a day. Choose Pure NMN if you want NMN on its own. Choose the Complex if you would otherwise buy those ingredients separately.

Who should choose Pure NMN?

  • You want NMN and nothing else.
  • You already take TMG, resveratrol or a B vitamin, and don’t want to double up.
  • You take a prescription medicine. One ingredient is simpler for your GP or pharmacist to check than six.
  • You want the lowest cost per day.

Who should choose NMN Complex?

  • You were going to buy NMN, TMG and resveratrol separately and would rather take one product.
  • You are happy taking 3 capsules a day.
  • You don’t take warfarin or another blood thinner, or your anticoagulant clinic has seen the full ingredient list.

No trial shows that NMN needs TMG or resveratrol alongside it. The Complex is about convenience, not about one ingredient needing another. Our guide to TMG and NMN explains why people combine them.

Can you take Pure NMN and NMN Complex together?

No. Taking both gives you 1,000mg of NMN a day, which is twice what either label says. Pick one. The same goes for adding separate TMG, resveratrol, pterostilbene or quercetin to the Complex. Our Can I take NMN with…? checker lists what overlaps with each.

Can you switch from one to the other?

Yes. Both have the same 500mg of NMN a day, so you can finish one pot and start the other the next day. If you switch to the Complex, stop any separate TMG, resveratrol or B12 you take, or check the totals first.

Our longevity supplement routine uses Pure NMN in the £20 routine and NMN Complex in the £50 and £80 ones.
